Let’s identify the creators

More projects went through the 2nd kiln firing and not all initials are identifiable. Sometimes the colorant washes away markings, so could you please have your child look at these from August camp & class and get back to me?

Thank you. Once you send confirmation I can get them bagged up and ready for pick up. Don’t worry if they’re not sure, we’ll do process of elimination if we need.

Can your child identify theirs?

Another pick up batch ready!

New deadline, October 15th

We have a new place for picking up clay, yay! Now you will find readied projects in the white bookcases at the back of the gallery classroom. (see pics)

Please be extra careful removing your child’s work, the sacks may be unbalanced, and behind other kids’ projects that may tip. Ceramics and pottery are breakable, of course.

Gallery hours are Wed – Sat, 11:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. and sometimes later on first Wednesdays during market season. ***IMPORTANT: CLOSING FOR AUCTION. CLOSED FRIDAY 10/7 starting at 3PM, CLOSED ALL DAY SATURDAY 10/8. (unless you’re attending the auction) We will be open late on Wednesday Oct 5th for Sesquicentennial market.

This is back by the gallery restroom.
Find your child’s name, or their last name.

Also look at the shelf of loose items, I couldn’t identify these!

Items with illegible or missing initials will be loose on a lower shelf. Your child may identify theirs if they’re with you for picking up projects, or tell you which ones from posted images.

Clay ready for pick up

These are from Spring 2022 and Summer 2021. Does your kid recognize theirs? Notify which and April will get it ready and labeled.

Deadline extended to Sept 23 since studio upgrades eliminated pick up shelves. After Aug 22 these can be picked up Wed – Sat, 11am-5:30pm from the gallery classroom back wall, under the cabinets. Look for child’s name.

Clay Pick up Policy

New Project Pick Up Policy – Valley Art no longer has space to store clay items long-term, here’s the new deadline for pickup policy.

21 days after email notice of clay projects being ready for pick up, pieces will be destroyed or donated to Valley Art education scholarship fundraising. After any clay class, it usually takes 2-3 weeks to go through both required firings before notices will go out. To mitigate the email delivery issues, I’ll also start posting clay pick up to this “blog” on the Artingales site when they’re ready. Ongoing students will not have this limitation since they are actively attending class and picking up projects on class days. Thank you for understanding.
